Is gender stereotyping inevitable in today's society?

I think i've had enough of going to gatherings only to be conveniently ignored by >10 members of the opposite sex and having to tolerate such awkwardness. IF i'm ever going to go for anymore future gatherings, i tell you, i'm so going to plant myself in the middle of all of them and force them to talk to me.

I really believe that gender stereotyping is no longer inevitable in today's society. but ever since i wrote that essay, everything's been proving me otherwise. and i see how my arguments crumble so easily with overwhelming evidence everywhere.

ok first and second paragraphs aren't really related, but i can't help but wonder if it's really so difficult for guys and girls to blend in well together.

arh well, sociologists can't solve problems i realised. whatever, i'm going to bed..
