Liberated!

I'm finally done with those dreadful exams. Well the final paper yesterday wasn't as difficult as i thought. Just a matter of not being able to remember (as always). tsk. like whatever. i've put in the effort! not up to me anymore..

I feel strangely liberated. The sun's shining, a gentle breeze blows. No need to worry about whether i can finish studying, no stacks of messy notes strewn all over my bed and table. no falling asleep on top of my notes with the light still on at night. Arh, temporary bliss :)

So yesterday night after the paper i had a really scrumptous dinner at jack's place. crayfish with grilled chicken, served with corn, cucumber+bacon, garlic and a really huge baked potato. Other than that we had soup, tea, water and dessert to complete the set meal. I ate till i wanted to puke, but it was really satisfying. after so many days of mental torture.. hey we deserved it! note to self: will not eat like this in future again.

tuition today, meeting friends tomorrow, shopping the day after tomorrow, west side story on sunday! i guess it was a rather impulsive decision but it'll be my first broadway experience, at the fifth last row of circle 3 too. Excellent. And after that, i can go lost myself in some books that i've been wanting to pick up. And take solitary walks along the park indulging in loneliness. Hopefully inspiration will strike with regards to that "something exciting" that i want to do this holidays. Totally not in the mood to work. Tempting pay and all, but admin jobs are like.. 8.30-5.30pm monday to friday..... Data entry.... Filing.... Processing this and that...... General admin duties...... and looking at the clock every minute for time to pass..... what a bore. I am too spoilt. Money's good as long as it comes in! who cares about the job.. Guess i'll do it when i have to, but not now anyway. Hmm. Sure of course money and rising up the ladder are very tempting and seemingly challenging, but at the end of the day, something has to be sacrificed rite? Unless you really enjoy your job that pays very well. Since work takes up such a huge portion of life, it'll be rather sad to simply work your life away. Some (very practical) people have no problems with that. great attitude! work like a robot, get your money, be rich and happy (hopefully). But those who dream and expect more may grapple with more conflicts. and you wonder if you're the slave to your dreams or if you're a slave to society or if you're really the one in power.. to each his own i guess.
